Atlanta Hawks
Another new member to join the league and really great to see them making trades already and what a big call it was to trade Haliburton after his long term injury, I think I would have personally kept hold of him, but I can see why the move was made. I think its going to be a tricky season for the Hawks, they have fairly young roster, so they will be playing the long game and likely missing out on the playoffs this season, wont come as a surprise to many.
25 Season Prediction – Hoping for some luck with those Ping Pong Balls.
Off Season moves – B – Liked the courage to move an all-star and to get their own 26 first rounder back.
Charlotte Hornets
Marcus must have the most trades made by a GM since he joined the league a couple of years ago, and his hard work is starting to pay off. I think looking at the bigger picture he wont expect to be competing this season but he will from the season after and onwards. If he can avoid injures to his key players, they could be a potential dark horse in the play offs and cause an upset.
Off Season Moves – B – Making some great strides to improving the roster
25 Season Prediction – Could be as high as 5th in the East if Ball and Cade play every game.
Miami Heat
The injury to Tatum will really affect the Heat this season and I think its played a part in some of the trades Austin has made in the off season. All of his veteran big men have been traded elsewhere but he still has Johnson, Ware and Duren who will crash the boards for them. However I think whenever Luka is not on the court they may struggle.
25 Season Prediction – Still in the Playoffs
Off Season Moves – C – Moved a lot of established talent for 2nd rounders or unproven youngsters, could prove to be a masterstroke.
Orlando Magic
The Magic are pretty much the NBA Magic who have been improving year on year, so that tells you that Geraint’s team is starting to head in the right direction, however I think it might be next season in DTNBA where we see the Magic making any kind of splash in the Playoffs.
Off Season moves – C+ Liked the addition of CJ McCollum and Stewart, both have salaires on the high side, but if you have the cap space then why not.
25 Season Predictions – Play in is likely, Banchero and Wagner will cause issues for the conference favorites though.
Washington Wizards
On paper the Wizards have a roster that should be competing but since their Championship a few seasons ago, things just haven’t worked out for them, I put the blame mostly in the direction of Ja Morant, rather than the GM! I think the Wizards could be 2nd in the East and catch a few people off guard.
25 Season Predictions – May come as a shock but 2nd in the East but I cant see them being Champions.
Off Season moves – D – They lost Josh Hart and Robert Williams but not added much in the way of replacements.
